Book Me for a Visit at Your School!

To inspire...

That's my goal... That's my purpose... in my writing and speaking. As a children's author who has persevered through rejection, I consider it a privilege to be published. An even greater privilege is the opportunity to speak and share my experiences with children and adults. It is an opportunity I take seriously and one with which I have a lot of fun. My program includes: an interactive creative writing workshop, narrative on the pros and cons of writing, how I got published and the process of how a book is created from concept to printing. I also offer encouraging words on the importance of discovering, developing and using one's talents for a fulfilled life - and never giving up! A question and answer period and book signing session are also included.

Teachers, principals, librarians, PTA members and students have hailed my visit as a wonderful experience! For a list of past appearances click here.

Robert, Thank you for a terrific visit to Lincoln School. The kids loved listening to you talk about the writing process and the books you wrote. Some classes even went back to their rooms and continued writing the story! We really enjoyed having you at Lincoln, and hope to do so again in the future. Your presentation was wonderful.

Sincerely,

When Robert Skead came to visit our school recently, he was such a hit with the children and teachers. He was an inspiring, engaging speaker that was able to reach all our grade level groups, sharing his story and encouraging others to use their talents. The children loved him so much, and so many wanted him to autograph copies of his books. The teachers and the principal could not say enough nice things about how they enjoyed his presentation. It was such an honor and a pleasure to have him at our school and now the children all love his books and are eagerly awaiting his next one! Thanks for coming to St. Paul Interparochial School Mr. Skead!

Dear Mr. Skead, I loved having you at Meadowbrook School in Hillsdale, I'm the girl who sat in the front with black hair that kept going "Oooooh!" Everyone in my grade, the 4th grade, was so amazed to see you come.
